My favourite football anthem

Gerry and the Pacemakers – You’ll Never Walk Alone

Liverpool Football Clubs anthem, the anthem of motivation and glory! My dream is to sit in Anfield, Kop end of course and stand with other Kopites and sing the beloved anthem before a big European game. On a sporting wish list, this is pretty high up on anyone’s agenda.

When you walk through a storm hold your head up high
And don’t be afraid of the dark
At the end of a storm is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark

Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown

Walk on, walk on with a hope in your heart
And you’ll never walk alone
You’ll never, ever walk alone

Walk on, walk on with a hope in your heart
And you’ll never walk alone
You’ll never, ever walk alone

#thehonesttruth this song is probably the most famous football anthem of all time and has inspired countless Liverpool fans to dream big and urge their team to glory. The lyrics are particularly motivational and I found myself listening to YouTube clips of Liverpool fans chanting our anthem out at glorious footballing occasions and instantly feel like I can achieve the impossible, its my motivational song as well, whats yours?
